Since 1971, VEK has designed and engineered greenhouse projects across every major climate zone.

Over more than five decades, the industry has transformed.

Climate computers replaced manual controls. LED lighting reshaped year-round production. Automation now reaches almost every aspect of greenhouse operations.

Technology will continue to evolve. The principles that underpin successful greenhouse design have not.

First, the climate determines the engineering. Every structure, screen, cooling strategy, irrigation system and climate control solution must respond to the conditions of the site.

Second, the crop defines the system. The design follows the biological requirements of the plant, and the technology follows the design.

Third, long-term success depends on operations. Even the most advanced facility only performs as well as the people responsible for operating it, maintaining it and continually optimising production.

These principles have guided VEK for more than fifty years.

Every project begins with the same discipline: understanding the location, understanding the crop, and designing the right solution for both.
