Tomatoes are among the most consumed fresh products in the GCC, and among the most exposed to supply disruption.
Each summer, domestic production contracts and import dependency rises. The pattern is predictable, but recent disruptions have shown how quickly it can become a structural vulnerability.
Closing this gap is not simply a question of capacity. It depends on how geography, climate, and system design are aligned to sustain production when conditions are most demanding.
