The company Bruinen & Zn. (father and four sons) planned to renovate and expand the existing company up to 5,5 ha. Because of the slow preparations (mainly regarding the permits for the greenhouse at the municipality and for the alternative water at the water authority), VEK was approached to take over and coordinate all activities. Besides coordinating the permits, VEK’s task was to help making choices during the elaboration of the preliminary design of the greenhouse, shipping building, technical facilities, layout of the offices, heating system, irrigation system, electrical installation, screening installation, concrete works. Furthermore, VEK was involved in the tendering phase as well as planning, construction and delivery.
